Joint Simulators/Run Down kits

We offer three options for joint simulators. The details for each model are included here. Click on the option that fits your needs.

Joint Kit for K5 & K20

M6 Joint Simulator/Run Down Kit for the K1 Torque Tester

Joint Simulators attach to the built-in Transducer of a torque tester via a 1/2" f/Hex drive. They have a 1/4" m/Hex drive on the other end that the screwdriver plugs directly into. Internally the joint simulator has a series of Belleville washers. The pattern that the washers are stacked in defines the amount of rotation/hardness in the joint simulator.

The units ship tooled for a medium joint with between 30° and 720° unless requested otherwise.

Custom Joint Simulator Service

Modified to Specific Rotation Value

Modifying the joint simulator to match the hardness of the joint in your part will dramatically improve the accuracy of your calibration process. To do this we require samples of your assembly and screws. We will run the screws into your assemblies and generate torque and angle graphs. These graphs will define the angle of rotation in the clamping portion of your joint. We then modify the washer stack in the joint simulator to allow for a similar rotation requirement. Graphs of the testing with your parts and the setup of the washers in the joint simulator will be provided to document the modification.
